Shadow and Mocha: Dog Photography in Guelph

I had the great honour of photographing Shadow and Mocha. Their “mom” won a photo session from an auction I donated to in support of a local animal rescue. I love these kinds of sessions because it’s always a win-win situation for everyone; the animals at the rescue shelter get much needed supplies, the winning client is happy and gets photographs to keep forever, and I’m happy because I get to do what I love most!

Shadow is a younger, albeit much larger dog than Mocha. His large body and soft fur just made me want to hug him. Take a peek at his photos below and I think you’ll understand why… He’s like a big teddy bear!

Mocha, on the other hand, is a calm and peaceful older dog.  And when I say older, I mean much older. She’s almost 17 years old! But I definitely got the sense that she’s still young at heart. In fact, as I was packing up my gear at the end of the shoot she jumped into the back seat of my car hoping I’d take her for a ride. She gave us all a laugh with that sly move.
